This is the world seen through my eyes. You can see pictures of myself and my eyes here. For the non-mundane, I am known as Senor Andres Miguel Rodroguez de la Rosa in the Society for Creative Anachronism.

The wingedrabbit thing is actually my registered device (see upper left corner). Enjoy news below and check out the links to my pictures (on the left). Enjoy.

More Pictures
2010/04/16
I have been posting pictures, but no news.

Check out my boys Out and About while Jonah was napping. We were searching for lizards. Kate bought us some Plaster-O-Paris, so next time we'll get some track-molds.

Also, I have pictures from Easter up. Our egg coloring (3 dozen eggs that I'm still trying to eat), front yard egg finding, and an Easter Egg hunt at our friend's house.

Enjoy!

New Pictures
2010/02/24
I finally got some new pictures up from a bunch of different events:

  • More Gymnastics Pictures
  • Estrella War
  • Joshua's 6th Birthday
  • Chinese New Year Parade
  • Chinese New Year Dinner

  • Enjoy.

    Anybody using this?
    2010/01/21
    Testing...testing...1...2...3...

    Is this on?

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I was just wondering if anyone actually subscribed to my RSS feed. If you do, send an email to rss@wingedrabbit.com.

    Gymnastics
    2010/01/20
For Joshua's homeschool gym class, Kate enrolled Joshua in Gymnastics. She also enrolled Noah and Jonah instead of them having to sit and watch Joshua.

They all enjoy it (and maybe have too much fun if that's possible). Check out Joshua's Gymnastic and Noah's Gymnastic pictures.

    Hospitals are crazy
    2010/01/20
My youngest son went to the hospital in Nov 2009 for a high fever. In the emergency room, he was given tylenol and put under observation.

He didn't receive anything special and was released within a few hours
    • No x-rays
    • No MRI scans
    • No emergency CPR
We could've done the same thing at home.

We just saw the bill and guess what they want?

    $1,166.47

I'm in the wrong business. Of course, the insurance only paid them $57.

    Happy 48 Day
    2010/01/10
    What do I mean?
    Today is 01/10/10 or 011010 or (in binary) 32 + 8 + 4 = 48.

On another note. I don't have boys, I have monkeys. If you follow veggie tales, I have apes (they don't have tails so their apes).

    Jonah's Birthday Pictures
    2010/01/08
I have pictures from Jonah's birthday celebration. We first celebrated it on Jan 6th, by going to the park and downtown (somewhere) to drop off some final adoption paperwork. Then we had lunch/dinner in chinatown while the kids got to spend $5 each on china nick-nacks.

    Jonah's Birthday at chinatown

Then today, Kate made a cake and wrapped some presents. Before bed we had the real celebration - cake and presents.

    Rose Parade Pictures
    2010/01/03
On Saturday, I took the family to see the Rose Parade floats stationed in Pasadena. We have some friends who live near the station area.

I took some pictures of the Rose Parade Floats. Also, Joshua took some great pictures of the foats from his perspective.

He has a special section on my website called Joshua's Pictures

    Happy New Year!!!
    2010/01/01
It seemed to be a blink of an eye between Christmas and New Year. The kids are watching the Rose Parade right now. Tomorrow, we'll go visit the floats. I'll have more pictures from the floats.

Also, I've uploaded some of Joshua's pictures. Please take a look at his pictures here. Look for Rose Parade pictures from tomorrow's adventure.

    Merry Christmas!!!
    2009/12/28
I finally got our Christmas Pictures up. Joshua and Noah where shepherds for our Church's Christmas children's mass. You can find the pictures here

The day after Christmas, we went shopping to find some good sales on Christmas stuff for next year. At the mall, we found a manger scene without the baby Jesus. I'm not certain if someone stole it or they were worried about theft. Anyway, I got some pictures for next year's Christmas cards. So our kids weren't vandalizing a nativity scene.

    Homeschool
    2009/10/26
    It's official now.

My boys (or at least Joshua for now) are being homeschooled.

Kate and I have been talking about homeschooling for awhile, but we finally took the plunge when Kate found out our 20/1 student/teacher ratio was cut to 30/1. That's too crazy.

Everybody thinks their kid is the best and so do I. Joshua is amazing and we figured he was being held back. Also, with our other kids, homeschooling will be better for them.

So now, we're planning trips that involve some learning experience.

This weekend, we took the RV to San Diego Wild Animal Park (I'll try to have those pictures up soon). Now Joshua, is writing about his experience in his notebook.

    Slow coming pictures
    2009/09/24
I'm still trying to get my pictures up from this weekend.

I put up Joshua's AYSO pictures on the Golden Eagles shutterfly site. There were over 300 of those. I've narrowed down to just Joshua pictures that I'll get up here soon.

There was also our friend's child had his 4th birthday and then we went to OLPH's BBQ.

I'll try to get these up tonight.

    Swimming and AYSO
    2009/09/15
Each summer, I buy one of those disposable waterproof film cameras. Then I try to use all the pictures. I had them developed over the weekend and scanned (thanks Costco). I have them up at:

    Summer Swimming

They're buried in the list of events since I dated them 07/09 to 09/09.

Also, this past weekend, Joshua had his first Soccer game with AYSO. He's number 5 and his league of "Boys under 6" was a blast to watch. I was laughing the whole time. The kids didn't care where they kicked it, just if they kicked it. Check them out here:

    AYSO Soccer

    More later. Enjoy

    Hatchlings
    2009/08/31
After dinner, we go for a walk on the pasaos by our house. We walk to the park and this time I had my camera.

On the way back, the kids and I spotted 2 baby hawks on the ground walking around. It seems they were kicked out of their nest.

I'm glad I didn't have Maddy(our dog) walking with us or there would've been some unconfortable explaining to do. Check out the pictures.

    The Happenings
    2009/08/03
It's taking me longer and longer to get images posted. The last few events I pushed up all together.

Music at the Zoo: Every year the LA Zoo opens their gates at night and they host some bands to play around the park. The kids really enjoy the music and they get to stay up late.

Next we had an exciting day starting with a Children's Concert with Peter Alsop at the Tapanga Canyon Theater. Afterwards, since it was hot, we decided to drive to the beach. Except, everyone else in Southern California also had the same idea. We also didn't pack any swimsuits. Luckily, we did have sand toys.

Lastly, we enrolled Joshua in Vacation Bible School put on by our church. For a week, the kids met for 3 hours a day to sing and learn about God. At the end, the kids sang at the Saturday evening children's mass. I have a video, but I'm still figuring out how to get it online.

    Full-time Mom
    2009/06/19
We've taken the plunge. Kate is officially a full time mom.

We decided she shouldn't look/push for more projects with her consolting business. She finished her last project this past week.

It's official, she's now a full time mommy.

    Been awhile
    2009/06/10
It's been awhile and there isn't anything new.

Just don't have much time to do anything. I think that has to do with having 3 boys under the age of 6.

We're planning on going to an SCA event this weekend for Gyldenholt's Anniversary. It's being held at Mile-Square Park in Fountain Valley.

I might have some pictures from that event if I get time between fighting and taking care of family.

I am trying to practice fencing more and I've been to 4 practices in a row.

I'll post more when I get some pictures up. I'm planning on taking some pictures of our RV for some marketing material. That should be fun.

    Disneyland
    2009/05/19
This past Friday, we celebrated Mike's birthday at Disneyland.

We drove the RV down so the kids could have some place to nap. We met with the family around 10am and went crazy.

    Busy Day
    2009/05/12
This morning, Noah had his upper lip redone. Everything went well. They also cleaned out his his ears that were plugged up.

And as I type, we're meeting with Heidi for Jonah's 6 month post adoption home study. This visit is just a follow up to report back to China that everything's doing well.

    Noah's Surgery
    2009/05/12
Noah is going into surgery this morning. We haven't been happy with his upper lip function. We are convinced his lip can have better movement. We also want the doctor to look around and see what job they did in China. There were some odd procedures done with Jonah's surgery in China, we're assuming they did the same things with Noah. Please keep Noah in your prayers today.

    Soccer Time
    2009/05/12
We enrolled Joshua and Noah in soccer classes again. Joshua loves it, but Noah takes some warming up to get into it. I'm sure in no time, he'll really enjoy it. This was the second class, but the first class, it was too sunny, this was a perfect day to take pictures. Nice and cloudy.

    Thomas the Train
    2009/05/11
Every year, Thomas the Train comes to town. To add to my kid's childhood memories, I have to shell out loads of money so we can ride a train 1/4 mile out and back just because it's being pulled by Thomas. But, they had a blast. And they have a bunch of Thomas stuff out for the kids to play with. It's worth every penny.

    Jonah's Baptism
    2009/05/11
The Saturday after Easter Sunday, we celebrated Jonah's Baptism. We had family and friends over to wash away Jonah's original sin. Thanks to our friend Tim who took all the pictures.

    Easter Pictures
    2009/05/11
Yeah, Jesus has risen!!! Happy Easter!!! The kids woke up to Easter baskets and eggs. After church, we went over to Lee's house where Kie had her Easter party. Mix of friends and SCAers.

    Chinatown Visit
    2009/05/11
I'm catching up on getting pictures online. The day before Easter, we went to Chinatown to have Dim-sum and walk around. It was ironic to find a Christian group of singers preforming for Easter. Don't they know, China's communist?

    RSS Feeds
    2009/05/11
You're now able to get my news via an RSS feed. I'll start putting in links to new image events. Like Jonah's Baptism. Thanks to my friend Tim who took these pictures. Without him, I wouldn't have had pictures from this. We thought Decon Dick would've preformed the ceremony since he has baptized my other 2 boys, but we had a priest this time. Afterwards, friends and family came over to the house for cake. I have pictures of Noah and Joshua at their Soccer practice, but they're not up yet. I'll try to get them up tonight. We also went to Altavian Anniversary. My camera bag came, but the camera didn't come out. Too much to do.

    Going To China
    2008/10/21
If all goes well, we'll be traveling to China at the end of this month. We will be adding a third member to our family with this trip. Once it's official, I'll post a page naming him.

    Adopting Again
    2008/10/07
We adopted Noah in December 2006 (See pictures) and we finally received our "Letters Of Acceptance" from China for our next adoption. Kate has a blog at http://www.livingbyaccident.blogspot.com/. Now it's 4-6 weeks to travel to China and get our new family member.

    Can Blog Now
    2008/10/07
I've finally made an interface to update news on this site. I'll start giving more info about our family and pictures. More to come soon, when I figure out a few bugs.

    NEW SITE!!!
    2007/06/09
I've finally switched over to the new site. This one isn't sitting in my back room, but is hosted by ixwebhosting.com. They're pretty good and somebody recommended them to me. I don't have to maintain the servers and if the power goes off at home, there's no problem. You'll notice these files are .php instead of .asp. I had to change things over to PHP, so I'm missing some functionality. I'll try to add it back.

    New Baby Boy
    2006/11/22
We have another boy on the way. No, Kate isn't pregnant. We're adopting from China. We fly out in mid December to pick him up. Watch for our pictures.

    Joshua's Camera
    2006/11/21
We've had an amazing year, so I haven't had time to take pictures (let along post). We bought Joshua a Fisher Price digital camera. You can see his pictures here. Also, there's a link on the left navigation.
